Two clocks: the working day and the job
A cleaner who visits three clients in one day really has two kinds of time: the full working day, and the time spent at each client. Cleaniro records the two separately.
The day clock records the start and end of the working day. The job clock records how long the cleaner spent with a particular client or on a particular job. So you know not only how long someone worked, but also where that time went.

Checking location without tracking your cleaners
You want to know whether someone was really at the location, but you do not want to follow your cleaners all day. Cleaniro checks location (GPS) only at clock-in and clock-out, never in between.
That gives you the certainty you need, and your cleaners know exactly when their location is used. It also makes it easier to introduce the app to your team.
A live overview for the office and team leads
In the office you see on one screen who is clocked in, who is on site, who is on a break and who is late. When a client calls because nobody has arrived yet, you can answer right away.
If you are a team lead with your own group of cleaners, that overview helps you step in before a client notices anything.
Corrections with approval and a log
Someone forgets to clock out, or their phone battery died. It happens. In Cleaniro you can correct hours manually, but every correction goes through approval and is recorded in a log. You can always see what was changed, by whom and when.
Worked hours are recorded and then approved by the office. On the Pro plan you can export hours as a CSV file, for example to process them further yourself.
What your cleaners can do themselves
In the app on their phone, your cleaners clock in and out, see their own hours and request leave. That saves calls and messages to the office.

Time tracking and the announced recording obligation in Belgium
The Belgian federal government has announced that it intends to introduce a general obligation to record working time from 2027. The law has not been voted yet, so the exact rules are not settled.
What you can already do today: with Cleaniro's day clock you record your cleaners' working time reliably, with corrections that go through approval and are kept in a log. Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt), separated per company, with access by role. A GDPR data processing agreement is available.

Does Cleaniro track my cleaners by GPS all day?
No. Location is checked only at clock-in and clock-out, never in between.
What if a cleaner forgets to clock out?
You can correct the hours manually. Every correction goes through approval and is recorded in a log, so you can always see who changed what.
Can I export the hours?
On the Pro plan you can export hours as a CSV file. On the Start plan you record and approve hours within Cleaniro itself.
Is time recording mandatory in Belgium?
For cleaning work at clients, a separate attendance registration with the Belgian social security office (RSZ/ONSS), "Check in and out at work", has applied since 1 September 2024 — Cleaniro does not file that declaration and does not replace it. In addition, the federal government has announced general working-time registration from 2027; that law has not been voted yet. With Cleaniro's day clock you already record your cleaners' working time reliably for your own administration.
Do my cleaners need a new phone?
A smartphone with a web browser is enough. The app runs in the browser at app.cleaniro.com and does not need to be installed from an app store.
